Sudais Ali Baba Brings ‘Magic Wand’ To Zumunci Football Academy, As Kaduna-based Team Targets Glory In November

Zumunci Football Academy of Kaduna will be aiming for more laurels in the coming month and with a lot of hope hanging on a ‘magic wand’ held by one of their players, Sudais Ali Baba.

Sports247 gathered that the youngster, whose name evokes memories of the mythical adventures of Ali Baba in children’s story books, is a highly promising attacker in the garb of former Super Eagles’ captain, Ahmed Musa.

Zumunci FA’s chairman, Abdullahi Tanimu cited Sudais among a wide array of reliable future stars he will be relying on to take the vastly popular team to higher heights in the month of November and beyond.

Tanimu took another look at the outgoing month of October, then gave all his players and officials of the team top marks for their exploits so far in the last quarter of 2026, but urged them not to rest on their oars, as more outings lie ahead of them.

The amiable chairman added at length, “I am happy with what my players and officials are doing with this team. Among the outstanding players in our attack are Bashir Abubakar, Shamsu Sabitu and Suleiman Abubakar. They are very reliable in scoring goals.

“We also have very good attacking midfielders like Rabiu Dauda and Albashir Ibrahim, fast wingers in Habeeb Abdulazeez, Samuel James Apeh and Ibrahim Salisu, as well as another reliable goal scorer, Sudais Ali Baba, together with Dominion Peter in attack.

“Our hard-working officials are Abdullahi Tanimu (chairman), Fahad Abdullahi (vice-chairman), Surajo Aliyu (chief coach), Kevin Mbakwe Nondo (assistant coach), Hussaini Abdullahi (welfare officer), Isa Ahmad (secretary) and Umar Abdullahi (assistant secretary).

“Others are Abdullahi Abdullahi (assistant welfare officer), Umar Abdullahi (physio), Coach Uska (sporting director) and Basiru Aliyu (media officer). They have been doing well in taking Zumunci Football Academy very high and I believe we will move higher in the month of November.”
